Questions studios ask

I'm a small studio (or a soccer coach) and families pay me by Zelle or cash. Is ClassRoot free for me?

Yes. ClassRoot has no monthly fee and charges nothing on payments you record yourself, like Zelle, cash or cheques. You still get everything: online registration with signed waivers, rosters, attendance, make-up classes, trial requests, messages with translation, and the parent app. We only earn when families pay online by card or bank.

Do I need a Stripe account?

Only if you want families to pay by card or bank autopay. Without Stripe, families keep paying you the way they do now, and you record their payments in a few seconds. You can connect Stripe later.

What does it cost when families pay online?

1% of each online payment, and never more than a monthly cap: $29 for up to 100 students, $69 for 101–250 students, $99 for 251–500 students, $139 for 501+ students. Stripe's own processing fees are separate and go to Stripe.

Is it only for dance studios?

No. ClassRoot works for any class-based program: dance, music, art, martial arts, swimming, tutoring, coding clubs and sports teams.

Do parents have to download an app?

No. Parents register from a link (or a form on your website) and sign in with a link sent to their email. It works on any phone or computer, with nothing to install.

How do make-up classes work?

Parents tap "Can't come" in their app. With the notice you choose, they get a make-up credit and book any class that suits their child's age and has space. You set how much notice, how many credits a month, and how long they last, or turn credits off.

Can I bring my families over from JackRabbit?

Yes. We import your classes, families, students and payment history, and show you totals so you can check everything matches. Families add their payment details once.

Is my families' information safe?

Card and bank details go straight to Stripe and never touch ClassRoot. We never sell information or use it for advertising, and the AI features never see contact details, birthdays or medical notes.

Is there a contract?

No. There's no contract or setup fee, and you can stop at any time and ask for a copy of your data.
